The Silk Road Café’s food is based on the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine and reflects some of the countries represented in the museum. Middle Eastern, North African, Mediterranean, vegetarian and coeliac friendly dishes are created by their chefs.
The focus in each dish is home cooking using only the freshest ingredients. You will find a selection of twelve dishes that change daily all serve with rice and vegetables or with two of their twelve vegetarian salads.
Based in the Chester Beatty Library at Dublin Castle, the café also serves soups, Panini and freshly-made falafels each day. All cakes, biscuits and breads are homemade, while mixed berry scones are positioned shoulder-to-shoulder with chocolate brownies, fruit tarts, fig cake and baklava.
